Embracing The Future
Congregational Consultation and Process Facilitation Services
Being a vibrant church community in the future starts with efforts made today. By clarifying your congregational gifts and developing clearly your mission and vision for the future, the cornerstone to strategically plan and move forward with confidence is set in place. We have necessary tools for you to build a brighter future:
Appreciative Inquiry
Appreciative Inquiry is a positive strength based development process that leverages gifts and talents of a church community to appreciate what is already present, dream of what could be, determine what should be and create what will be.
Possible applications include:
- Creating mission and vision statements
- Developing strategic plans
- Looking at a church renewal process
Building Bridges
The Bridgebulder process is a way to move beyond anxiety to clarity, to focus on resources rather than deficits, and to create a clear future instead of remaining stuck in confusion. Building Bridges draws sides together by assisting congregations to reconcile and heal so that they may connect with one another and move forward to carry out their mission.
Congregational Consultation
We provide short or long term consultation for a range of issues including staff and congregational issues and team building.
Healthy Congregations
Fenhagen says that “A congregation of Christians is not a community gathered around a ‘minister’ but a community of many ministries called to share in the ministry of Jesus Christ to the world.” Healthy congregations provides an opportunity to equip leaders to become healthy so that they can lead healthy congregations.
Leadership at the Time of Change
Leadership for change demands much inspiration and perspiration. This is an opportunity to help the church survive and thrive in a changing world. Participants learn tools and skills to lead and inspire people to tackle difficult issues while setting their goals high as they move forward.
Results-Based Conversations
The “WildWorks” method of collaborative conversation is used by diverse organizations to take complex situations or problems and produce action steps toward identified goals. Church organizations applications include:
- Developing church strategy in line with church vision
- Preparing budgets in alignment with vision and ministry strategies
- Assessing community needs and a better strategy to impact those needs
- Connecting members to ministry needs
- Other applications of the WildWorks process are possible
Social Entrepreneurial Modeling
Using principles developed for not-for-profit organizations this unique exercise assists congregations to evaluate their ministries on two critical measures: the social impact these ministries have on the community at large and the impact these ministries have on the sustainability of the congregation. At the successful conclusion of this modeling exercise your congregation will have a clear perspective of which ministries best fulfill your faithful mission and contribute to the sustainability of your church community.
